What would be the best plants to plant around the edges of a childs play area?

To try and shed some light, my garden is maybe 35ft x25ft? Maybe!
I have a corner shed ( on the left) I’m hoping to get a raised decking path from my patio to the shed, and paint the shed itself dark blue, with cream window frames. I was going to put a small seating area on the left of this path, and surround it with lavender, giant daisies, agapanthus, grasses etc.

Need to know if this area is a sunny or shady spot?
