I need ideas for uses for old picket fencing.?

I found a stack of old picket fencing someone threw away and need some ideas on how to incorporate it into my garden and yard. I don’t want to fence in the yard just make it look unique.

You can use it to hide stuff…….I’m thinking a compost pile. Or it can be used to define a spot………, “Hey, look at me.” And then there have something extra special like a beautiful rose collection of say, three of the same type to give a big emphasis. In my mind I see it at the end of a walk way rather like a “dead end” sign with something pretty at the base and the pathway changing direction. Or you could fence an area, say vegetable garden which is a different “area” within the overall landscape….or an herb garden.

As for growing things on it, I rather think pickets are charming standing on their own with dressing in the form of self supporting material in front or back.

What does you house look like? Would the pickets placed against the house which is a different color create an interesting look?

What about inside as a headboard for a bed?

Do you have a Garden Shed? Could a mural be painted on the shed with the picket fence placed against or near to complete the picture. I’m getting silly now, I’ll stop.
