lip system blocks to build a retaining wall for terraced garden??

hi could anyone help, im going to terrace my garden and want to use lip system blocks,does any one know were i can the cheapest place to get these and roughly how much they are??? wed sites would be appreciated?? would be gratefull for any advice on building terraces into a steep slope…and what is the easiest way and most cost effective materials??

The cheapest materials are rocks. The easiest way to collect enough is to go to the nearest quarry and pick up your own.

If you only want a few they sometimes just give them to you.

They charge by the ton – but it is cheap. The expensive part is the transport by the truckload.

So if you need a lot of rock it might be best to have 5 tons delivered, is a size you want to be able to heft.

Have it dumped on the up hill part and move them down as required.

The fun part is fitting random shapes fairly close together to make the wall.

Make the walls about 24 inches thick and leaning slightly in to the hill, and dig the base so it is level or sloping slightly back in to the hill.

You can calculate how many cubic yards by measuring how long the walls and the thickness.

Only lasts a couple of centuries when built properly.
